Nollie Miniature
This is Bones Reaper Miniature: Sascha Dubois, Time Chaser. This miniature was on clearance at the counter of my local gaming store. The long coat on the mini caught my eye, so I picked it up and noticed that the face was miscast. It really looks like she is sticking out her tongue so I had to get it to use for my alchemist character. I sculpted a bottle in her left hand over the compass the mini originally had. I also covered up her bare torso, and sculpted some cobblestone to finish the base.

November 2016: Toxicrene / Maleceptor
Another postdated project of the month. I ended up working on October's, November's, and December's projects at the same time, and made a small dent in the number of tyranid boxes on the shelf. This is the same model magnetize to have both options.

Peony Miniature
This is a miniature I had made for my pathfinder half-orc bard character. It is a Heroforge printed mini done in their clear plastic. Heroforge announced they were switching to printing in grey plastic two days after I had ordered this miniature so I missed my chance to get that instead. I've read reviews that say the new grey plastic allows for better details. I'm pretty happy with the miniature I received. There were some patches of layered texture from the printing process that I had to remove. It was most apparent on the large smooth areas like her corset and pants, but there was a problem area on the left side of her face that I could never manage to smooth out (I hoped to just hide it with the paint job, and viewing it in person that side of her face is shadowed). I had her printed in this pose so I could add on sculpted bongo drums and a wand holder (made with green stuff) since those items are not available on the site. I could have given her the hand option of a staff or rod, but would have really preferred to have her armed with a wand (I can only assume that printing limitations for what would be a tiny cylinder don't really make that feasible).

Hand Quilted Dice Bags
On these dice bags I drew out a design on the batting and quilted them by hand. The pumpkin and leaves bags were for me. The radioactive symbols were a request from my husband for his neon yellow dice.

December 2016 State of the Armies
Looking forward to 2017, I'd like to make a big push towards getting more of my 40k armies painted. Specifically I'd like to get my husbands Tyranid army completely painted, assemble all and paint at least half of my Dark Angels army, and fully assemble/prime my Sisters of Battle army. My husband also has an Orc army, and I have an Dark Eldar army (full of out of print miniatures), but those are so much farther down on the priority list that I'm not going to include them here. I'm hoping to update this list at least once a quarter.

Quilted Dice Bags
I quilted a bunch of dice bags. I really like this style because it can sit open on the table like a cup. I can pull out the dice I need, and leave the rest in the bag.

Make Your Own Texture Paint
I like the texture paint that citadel released in their most recent paint line. After testing it on a few bases I realized that it would take far too many pots to do an entire army so I made my own.
Make texture paint
You will need:
Make texture paint
You will need:
- Empty paint pot or airtight jar (I used an empty dickinson's honey jar)
- Acrylic paint in the desired color of your base (craft paint is fine)
- Liquitex resin sand
- Sand (blue stuff in the container on the right)
- Ballast (off white stuff in the container on the right)
- Mixing tool
- Feline assistant (optional)

1. Start by partially filling your jar with acrylic paint. You want enough to color the texture paint, but not make the mixture too runny. Err on not enough paint because you can always add more.

Add the sand and ballast to half fill the jar.
Add the resin sand leaving enough room in the jar to mix everything together.
You should have a chunky paste that spreads easily. Determine if you need to add more paint or sand and ballast. If not top off the jar with more resin sand, and finish mixing it all together. It's okay if the color looks lighter than the paint as it will dry darker

Dmitri Miniature
This is another miniature I painted for my husband. He is a sorcerer masquerading as a wizard. The character was described as having a starry night bathrobe so I tried to do a version of it on the robes.

Sweet / Unsweet Pitcher Tags
I frequently make tea and kool-aid for my gaming group, and usually leave it unsweetened because not everyone likes the same sweetener. I sweeten it after they leave, but my husband will get upset if I forget and he doesn't realize it. So I made these tags to loop around the handles. They are a hard plastic from a dice clamshell package painted with gesso and acrylics.

PotM October 2016: Mucolid Spores
October 2016: Mucolid Spores
I've been trying to clear space on my shelf by assembling/painting the boxes of 40k miniatures that are piled up there. I have two half finished Tyrannocytes, and each box had a spore in it (without any tentacles). I wired the tops to the bases, and then added tentacles using ProCreate putty.

Pathfinder Society Adventure Booklet
I recently learned to make hand bound booklets, and after I made one of these booklets for myself I made several to raise money for my local pathfinder society group.
The Covers
Inside Pages - A character list with spaces for PFS #, class, level, and faction. A grid to mark off the scenario played, and many pages for note taking during games.

Chimichanga Mercenary Doll
Chimichanga Mercenary Doll
This was a commission piece. I took detailed notes while I was making the doll, and hopefully it will not take long to finish writing and posting the pattern.

Shadow's Basement Vignette
Shadow's Basement Vignette
I made this as a display for some fantasy miniatures. Most of it is made of Hirst Arts blocks, but I've added some pieces sculpted out of green stuff. I'm very proud of how the rugs, pottery, and wicker laundry basket turned out.

Scourge of the Howling Hoard Dungeon Map
This dungeon map is for the D&D 3.0 adventure Scourge of the Howling Hoard. I'm learning how to GM, and I ran this adventure for my husband. I ordered a large pad of paper with a 1 inch grid from Staples, and used crayons and colored pencils to make the map.

Wood cat pumpkin kit
I found this cat pumpkin kit at target yesterday. I have some funkins (fake foam pumpkins) that I haven't modified so I got two kits to make some cat pumpkins for Halloween

Pathfinder Card Game Playmat
I was really pleased with the Rise of the Runelords Pathfinder Card Game so I purchased the second box; Skulls and Shackles. I made a quilted playmat to go along with the theme for the second box set. I cut card spaces from fabric and used double sided fusible interfacing to attach them to the playmat. Then I satin stitched over the edges. I hand painted the details on the ship and loot spaces.
Closeup of the skull ship space.
Close up of the treasure chest loot space.
