Stop Watch Repair

This stopwatch had a red rubbery coating on the sides and bottom that had come away in places. I removed what was left and covered those spots with ProCreate Sculpting Putty. Then I added a little pumpkin so my teammates would know it was mine.

Skyweavers Progress

So here are some in progress photos. I need to outline the motley on the drivers/riders, and then I can move on to the weapons, cloths, and masks. Then they will just some highlighting to be finished.

I've got the base colors for the skyweavers finished. I plan on adding on designs to the front part of each in a gradient that matches the coats for the other harlequins I've painted.

Pink and Gray Cat Hat

This was a kit I picked up on vacation. It is a DMC Top This which had the cat plush head already made with a ball of striping yarn. I didn't use the included pattern on the ball band as it only included sizes for toddler and small adult. It does mention that directions for additional sizes are on their website, but I assumed those would require a second ball of yarn. I only had the one, and had no easy way to get another so I just made adjustments to their pattern (see below). Even with the adjustments The hat was just a bit too short so I added flaps to cover my ears using a cotton dish yarn.

Adjustments if anyone else needs to make a bigger hat with one ball or I ever make another:
I used Size 8 needles, and cast on 84 sts. I worked in K2P2 ribbing for 12 rounds as the larger size of the ball band pattern indicates, though I wish I had stopped when the yarn changed from grey to the multi-colored band (that would have been around 10 rnds). Then I knitted in stockinette st for 25 rnds. I began decreasing, knit 10 sts, then K2tog, cont for the rnd. Then the next rnd would be knit 9 sts, then K2tog, cont for the rnd. etc. When you have 7 sts, cut and draw through them, the bring the thread inside the hat.
Optional Flaps:
I used Knitpicks Dishie in Silver which I think matched the grey in the hat very well. Mark two points on the bottom of the hat equally spaced from each other. Pick up 14 sts along the cast on edge, and knit for four rows.
RS rows: knit 1, SSK, knit until three sts remain, K2tog, knit 1.
WS rows: purl
When you have four sts: knit 1, K2tog, knit 1.
Change the yarn to what you have left over from the hat kit ball, and knit icord.
Repeat on the other side.

Minitaire Paint Storage Shelf Finished

So here is the final product in use. I really like having the extra space to keep all my large bottles of medium/varnish within reach. I left the back corners open so I could loop the charging cord for the dremel tool (far left side) through it. It was a great deal of work, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Some other pictures without the trays.

Minitaire Paint Storage Shelf Update 5

I finally finished casting and assembled the paint tray shelf. You can see in the second picture that I have a few little gaps left to fill. After that I can start priming it with some black acrylic paint.
