Wood cat pumpkin kit

I found this cat pumpkin kit at target yesterday. I have some funkins (fake foam pumpkins) that I haven't modified so I got two kits to make some cat pumpkins for Halloween

Pathfinder Card Game Playmat

I was really pleased with the Rise of the Runelords Pathfinder Card Game so I purchased the second box; Skulls and Shackles. I made a quilted playmat to go along with the theme for the second box set. I cut card spaces from fabric and used double sided fusible interfacing to attach them to the playmat. Then I satin stitched over the edges. I hand painted the details on the ship and loot spaces.

PotM September 2016 : Hokie Treeskirt

September 2016: Hokie Treeskirt

This has been sitting on my desk for awhile, much to my cats consternation. It is another xmas gift for my in laws done up in hokie colors. Progress on this really stalled due to the number of ends that needed to be woven in (All those color changes, ugh).

The base was made with hirst arts blocks, and the victory point counter dice are polymer clay. The turn counter is polymer clay over an aluminum foil core.

Hand Quilting some Dice Bags

I've been making some new dice bags, and wanted to try some hand quilting. Some of my stitches turned out a little wonky, but I think I improved with practice. I tried to be mindful of the pattern placement, and hopefully none of the quilting will fall in the seams when I sew up the bags.

Here is a leaf design done on a green batik fabric.

This is several pumpkins with green stems and vines on a pumpkin fabric.

Dalek Curtains

The dalek skirt that I recently posted was my second attempt at making one. I initially made a very thin two panel skirt with grey dots attached using double sided fusible interfacing. It didn't work out very well, and so I set it aside on the work in progress pile. I was thinking about what I could do with it, and figured it would make some cute kitchen curtains. All I had to do was finish the edges and add some hang tabs. I know that I have some orange fabric with little black dots on it somewhere in the sewing room, and I'm debating adding it as drapey sections to hang down behind the valance sections.
