March 2018 Project of the Month: Teal Happenstance Shawl

This is a shawl I knit for myself from Zephyrette (70% alpaca, 20% silk, and 10% cashmere) by Flying Goat Farm in the colorway Neptune Green. I used the pattern Happenstance from Sock Yarn Shawls by Interweave press. I'm considering dip dyeing the shawl in some navy dye so it has an ombre effect, but then I would have to block it all over again.

Litko Acrylic Horses

I purchased some acrylic Litko Mount tokens to use in Pathfinder. By mistake I ended up with two brown warhorses and a regular black horse.

I needed to differentiate the horses so I carefully sanded and painted them.

Here is the result of my latest commission. I really like how the diamonds turned out.

Zardoz Magnet and Ornament

 My friends gifted me a zardoz magnet. Zardoz is a dystopian future themed movie made in 1974, staring Sean Connery. In the movie it is also the name of a giant floating head that directs humanity.

This is the bare resin magnet.

I was so pleased with the magnet that I took a picture and turned it into a ornament. I made an extra one for the people that gifted me the magnet.
