Dark Angel Terrain Series Part III

This building was made using #4924 Gothic City Buildings Small Set #1 from Pegasus Hobbies. It has the same corrugated paper roof as used on the building in Part I of this series.

Lictor Arm

Years ago my husband bought a lictor miniature that was missing the lower right arm. He contacted Games Workshop asking for an arm. They sent him another lictor miniature. Which was great, but that still left me with a mostly complete miniature missing its right arm. I took a warrior arm, shaved it down and added a third claw.

So how does it compare to the actual lictor arm on the left?

40k Tyranid Hive Tyrant

The latest addition to the painted tyranid list is this hive tyrant. He is the old metal model so I felt like I was lifting weights when I was painting this. The arms are plastic and are magnetized on. I don't have any of the other arms painted to show you. I think they are in a baggie mixed with carnafex arms that need to have magnets put in them. Looking forward for this army, I'm going to work on some raveners and then go back to finish up the rest of the warriors. This hive tyrant puts my tyranid progress up to 58% painted.

Minitaire Paint Storage Shelf Update 4

So I'm making good progress on the final paint tray layer, and then assembly can begin. I've made a bunch of wall pieces while casting the floor mold, so hopefully I will have enough of those ready to complete the project.

Derby Trophy : Mini Hydra

I was asked to make an award for one of my roller derby teammates. I stained the wood base with brown ink, and put several coats of varnish over it. The trophy is meant to be a miniature version of the hydra trophy, and it is polymer clay over wire with a black ink wash to bring out the details. The name is blurred out in case she finds this post (wouldn't want to spoil the surprise).
