Tau Objective Markers

These are objective markers that I did for commission. The front side is Tau with the faction symbol designed by the player, done in colors to match their army. The back side are Slaanesh pinups (not pictured due to Blogger content policy) done in a color scheme to match Twilight Sparkle from My Little Ponies.

Meliot Miniature

This is Reaper Miniature: Lorielle Silverrain. I painted this miniature almost a decade ago (look at that gloss top coat), but since I was pulling out my pathfinder miniatures I figured I would post this one too. When I started playing in the pathfinder society I grabbed this miniature and told my husband to make me a character to match this miniature.

2017 SotA Update 1: Tyranids show and tell

State of the Armies 2017: Update 1

I posted in December that I'm going to try to do a big push this year to paint more miniatures. I found the list I made difficult to edit as the formatting would get messed up every time I tried to write an update. I made it into a google document that you can find here -Knitfink's Master Model List

I gathered all the tyranid models that I'm working on for a picture. Everything is at various stages of assembly and painting because I tend to bounce back and forth while waiting for green stuff to cure. You can see that I rely heavily on trays to keep things organized during batch painting.

Steampunk Eyepatch

I have a friend that recently lost an eye, and asked me to make a "badass" eyepatch. Apparently there is not a great deal of  fashionable choices for eye patches. I made a couple shapes out of felt, and had him pick the one that would fit his face best. I made a form to match that shape out of polymer clay. Then I soaked the leather and let it dry over the clay form. While it was drying I made the gears out of green stuff using a silicon mold. I painted and distressed the gears. It doesn't show up well in the picture, but I brushed a light golden wash over the brown leather. I then attached the elastic and made it adjustable using an eye hook (sorry forgot to get a picture of that).

Lem Miniature

This is a Reaper Bones - Woody, Halfling Ranger that I painted as a trade commission piece. The back of the coat was shaved down so that it could be placed as a rider onto an Axebeak miniature. I drilled and inserted tiny magnets into both feet and the base so that it could be seperated onto it's own base.

Bahira Miniature

This is Reaper Miniature Tara the Silent. I use her for my monk pathfinder character. She was supposed to have auburn hair, but halfway through I added a red wash and really liked the burgundy color so I highlighted it pink and pretended it was intentional.
